New Port LLC ("we," "us," or the "Company"), the developer of Readify, values your data privacy and is committed to clear, transparent, and compliant data protection practices. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can manage your data.
This Policy applies to all Readify products, including iOS applications, Android applications, and web applications (collectively, the "Service").
1.1This Policy applies to all information processing activities that occur when you use the Service.
1.2This Policy is part of the Terms of Use. In case of any conflict, this Policy shall prevail.
1.3Terms not defined in this Policy shall have the meaning defined in the Terms of Use.
2.1Currently, Readify operates as a free service. We do not charge fees, do not display third-party advertisements within the Service, and do not sell or rent your data. We do use limited third-party advertising attribution and analytics tools to measure install and engagement metrics, as further described in Section 4.
2.2If our business model changes, we will update this Policy in advance.
You can use most core features without logging in, including uploading e-books, format conversion, and text-to-speech playback. Logging in enables data synchronization and other enhanced features.

You may upload or generate the following content while using the Service:
User-provided content is used solely to provide the Service to you, including by transmission to the third-party AI service providers identified in Section 4 where necessary to perform the requested function.
We use collected information to:
We do not proactively monitor your uploaded content. Limited review may occur only under these circumstances: suspected violations of the Terms of Use; technical support requests; legal, regulatory, or judicial requirements; and necessary measures to maintain platform security. All reviews follow the principle of minimal necessary access.
We share information with the following categories of service providers and business partners who help us provide and improve the Service:
1. Cloud hosting and storage providers that store user-uploaded content and operational data, including Alibaba Cloud and Amazon Web Services;
2. Third-party artificial intelligence model providers that process certain user-provided content when you use AI-powered features, currently DeepSeek, Google (Gemini), and Alibaba Cloud (Qwen), as further described in Section 5;
3. Advertising attribution and analytics partners, currently Meta (FBSDKCoreKit) for install attribution, and Google Firebase (FirebaseCore, FirebaseCrashlytics) for analytics and crash reporting;
4. Account integration providers, where you choose to link a third-party account (e.g., Google Drive) for synchronization.
We share information with these parties only on a need-to-know basis to perform their functions, and we require them to maintain appropriate security measures. Each third-party provider processes the data it receives in accordance with its own publicly available privacy policy.
Readify does not sell, rent, or trade any personal data.
The current Service version does not use cookies. If this changes, the Policy will be updated.
Some third-party services (e.g., file synchronization providers) may access certain data after your explicit authorization. Third-party data handling is governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices outside the scope of this Policy.
We will not send marketing emails unless you log in and explicitly consent to receive such communications.
Your personal information will not be publicly disclosed without your explicit consent or unless legally required.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Any such data obtained without consent will be deleted promptly.
On Apple devices, before we or our third-party partners (including Meta) engage in any tracking that requires permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, we will display the system App Tracking Transparency prompt and will not engage in such tracking unless you affirmatively grant permission. You may change your tracking permission at any time in your device settings.
When you use AI-powered features, we may transmit certain user-provided content to the third-party AI service providers listed below so that the requested Output can be produced. Before any such transmission, we will present you with an in-app consent prompt that identifies (a) the specific data that will be sent, (b) the third-party recipient, and (c) the purpose of the transfer, and we will not transmit that information unless you affirmatively consent.
Specifically, depending on the feature you use, the data we will request your consent to transmit and the third-party AI services that may receive each type of data are:
Audio recordings you provide for voice-based features (including Voice Clone) are processed by our internally operated speech service and are not transmitted to any third-party AI service provider.
If you do not consent, the applicable third-party AI feature will not be available to you, but you may continue to use the other Services. You may withdraw your consent at any time by discontinuing use of the relevant feature or by contacting us at support@readifyai.com.
6.1Storage infrastructure. We store your personal information and user-provided content using third-party cloud infrastructure operated by leading providers (including Alibaba Cloud and Amazon Web Services), as well as on databases and storage maintained on cloud-hosted servers operated for us. Depending on your region of use, your information may be stored or processed in countries other than the country where you reside, including countries that may have different data protection laws. Where cross-border transfers occur, we implement appropriate safeguards such as contractual data protection commitments with our providers and the security measures described in this Section.
6.2Security measures. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and the principle of least privilege, to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Despite our efforts, internet use involves inherent risks. You acknowledge and accept these risks when using the Service.
6.3AI training and external sharing. User-uploaded content is not used to train generative AI models without your explicit consent, and is shared with our third-party AI service providers only as necessary to perform the function you have requested (as described in Section 5).
6.4Voice and biometric data. To the extent any audio you provide constitutes biometric data under applicable law (including, where applicable, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act, and the biometric privacy provisions of Washington's data privacy laws), we retain such data only as long as necessary to provide the voice-based features to you and to maintain your personalized AI voice. In any event, and unless a longer period is required by law, we permanently destroy any such data no later than three (3) years after your last interaction with the Service, or sooner upon the satisfaction of the initial purpose for which it was collected, whichever occurs first. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at support@readifyai.com.
6.5General retention. We retain other personal information for as long as necessary: (i) to provide the Service to you; (ii) as required by applicable laws and regulations; (iii) for our legitimate and lawful purposes; and/or (iv) to defend against any actual, threatened, or potential claims or disputes. We will not retain information longer than necessary unless required or permitted by law. Where applicable, we will delete your information upon your request, unless we are required to retain it.
You have the following rights regarding your personal information: Access; Correction; Deletion (subject to legal requirements); Withdrawal of Consent; Deactivation or Account Closure. We will respond to your requests within a reasonable timeframe.
We may update this Policy due to functional upgrades, legal requirements, or business adjustments. For significant changes, we will provide prominent notice within the app. Updated policies take effect from the date of notice.
