The Innocent Man The Confrontation In the Shrieking Shack, Sirius finally tells his story. He was never the traitor; Peter Pettigrew was. He was framed for Pettigrew's fake death. He has been searching for Pettigrew to clear his name and avenge the Potters. The Proof When Pettigrew is forced to transform back, Sirius's innocence is proven. Harry believes him.
