The Security Footage

The Revelation The Tape Marta shows Langdon and Sienna the security footage of Langdon and Busoni stealing the mask. Langdon is shocked, as he has no memory of it. The Confrontation Langdon is accused of theft, but he insists he had permission from the owner. The guard pulls a gun. The Escape Sienna creates a diversion, and they flee through the Vasari Corridor, pursued by the SRS team.

The Baptistry Discovery

The Hidden Mask The Gates of Paradise Langdon and Sienna enter the Baptistry of San Giovanni through the famous Gates of Paradise. They find the mask hidden in the baptismal font. The Poem They wipe away the gesso to reveal the spiral poem. The poem points to Enrico Dandolo's tomb. The Understanding Langdon realizes the poem uses Dante's imagery to lead them to the plague. They now have a clear direction.
