The Charter

A Dangerous Job Hired by Brody Brody charters Ben Gardner's boat, the Flicka, to hunt the shark. Gardner goes out alone, chumming the water. The Attack The shark attacks the boat. Gardner is pulled overboard or falls in. His body is never found. The boat is found drifting with a shark tooth embedded in the transom. Discovery Brody and Hendricks find the tooth. Hooper confirms it is from a great white. Gardner is the fourth victim.

Widow's Grief

A Phone Call Brody's Call Brody calls Sally Gardner to tell her Ben is missing. She is hysterical. She blames Brody for sending him. The Burden Brody feels another death on his conscience. He arranges for a neighbor to stay with Sally. The town's grief deepens.
