A Fatal Dip The Party Christine Watkins, a drifter from Idaho, is a guest at Jack Foote's house. After a night of drinking, she and her date Tom Cassidy go to the beach. They have sex, then Tom falls asleep. The Swim Christine decides to swim alone. The water is cold. She swims out, unaware of the shark. The shark detects her vibrations and attacks. The Attack The shark bites off her leg, then crushes her torso. She screams, but no one hears. Her body is torn apart.
Discovery of the BodyDiscovery of the Body
The Gruesome Find Search by Brody Brody and Hendricks search the beach. Hendricks finds the remains: a head, shoulders, part of an arm, and a third of a trunk. He vomits. Identification Tom Cassidy identifies the body. Brody concludes it was a shark attack. The coroner confirms. The Cover-Up Begins Brody is pressured to keep the attack quiet. Christine's death is not reported. She is a nobody, so no one misses her.
