The Evidence A broken cane, a purse, and a sealed envelope addressed to Mr. Utterson are found. The murder weapon is recognized as one Utterson gave to Jekyll.

The Search of Soho A Foggy Drive Utterson takes Inspector Newcomen in a cab to Hyde's Soho address. The fog is thick, and the quarter appears like a nightmare. They find a dingy street with a gin palace and ragged children. The Housekeeper's Welcome An old woman with an evil face opens the door. The inspector is confident of capturing him.
