The Confrontation

The Confrontation Verbal Duel Aglaya insults Nastasya, calling her a fallen woman. Nastasya retaliates, and both women are furious. Myshkin's Choice Myshkin, torn between them, shows pity for Nastasya, causing Aglaya to flee in despair.

Aftermath

Aftermath Aglaya's Breakdown Aglaya runs away and later falls ill. She breaks off with Myshkin. Nastasya's Flight Nastasya, feeling victorious, agrees to marry Myshkin, but then flees with Rogozhin.
