The Hopeful Beginning

The Descent Begins

The Attack Jack attacks Wendy with a roque mallet, beating her brutally. He is no longer himself; the hotel speaks through him. The Loss of Self Jack's identity is consumed by the hotel. He becomes a monster, hunting his own son.

The Moment of Clarity

The Father's Love The Confrontation Danny confronts Jack, telling him that the hotel lies. For a moment, Jack's true self breaks through. He tells Danny he loves him and to run.
