American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention appears in the book’s closing resource material as a named organization, accompanied by the acronym AFSP and the web address afsp.org. The text provides this identification but does not describe the organization’s programs or its involvement in the characters’ lives.

Appearance in the Book

The organization is listed by its full name, followed by “(AFSP)” and “afsp.org.” Its inclusion places it among the book’s explicitly named resources; the entry itself gives no further description of the services offered or the reason for selecting this particular resource.
