Middle Finger

Awakening the Angel System: Apocalypse: A LitRPG Progression Fantasy

Middle Finger is Selfia’s flagship and air carrier, a military vessel whose deployment marks the point at which Selfia stops directing the campaign from a distance and commits herself to the field. Although the available evidence does not specify its armament, design, or crew, the ship functions as the material extension of her authority: it carries the queen toward Roland’s home and later appears as a floating fortress during Lancelot’s sudden arrival before Jack.

Deployment Under Selfia’s Command

Middle Finger enters the immediate war plan after Sahaqiel warns that the mass exodus of souls signals the Black King’s attempt to gather power. With Jack accepting that action is necessary, Selfia orders Admiral Skirita to prepare his fleet, promises reinforcements, and declares that she will meet him en route to Roland’s home. The flagship is therefore part of an organized military response rather than an isolated display of royal prestige.

Selfia’s decision to go personally gives Middle Finger a second significance. When Admiral Skirita questions whether the queen truly intends to take the field, she answers that she cannot let the men have all the fun and adds that it has been a long time since she saw her brother. The ship consequently carries both strategic purpose and intimate motive: it is the vehicle of a sovereign entering a dangerous campaign, but also of a sister moving toward a charged family encounter.

The Airborne Fortress

The vessel is described as a floating fortress in the sky when Lancelot appears before Jack in gold armor. This image establishes Middle Finger as more than a conventional transport. Its position behind Lancelot creates an imposing military backdrop to the confrontation, making the sky itself part of the scene’s power structure and signaling that the encounter has escalated beyond a private clash.

The ship’s fortress-like presence also contrasts with the instability of the surrounding moment. Selfia has just ordered Jack to fall back, while Jack refuses and Sahaqiel turns to catch a golden spear almost against his face. Against that sudden violence, Middle Finger remains suspended behind Lancelot as a visible sign of organized force. Its appearance enlarges the scale of the conflict even though the evidence does not state that the vessel fires or otherwise acts directly.

Narrative Function and Limits of the Evidence

Middle Finger connects command, movement, and confrontation. Selfia’s order places it within the fleet mobilized against the Black King’s developing plan; her personal participation turns the vessel into an emblem of royal commitment; and its appearance behind Lancelot places that commitment within the airborne theater where Jack is confronted by a powerful figure tied to Selfia’s family.

The ship is important precisely through this combination of physical and political presence. It is not presented through technical specifications or a separate history, but through the decisions and confrontations that gather around it. Middle Finger makes Selfia’s authority mobile, gives the campaign a recognizable center of force, and helps transform a warning about unseen spiritual mobilization into an immediate military crisis. Its final recorded appearance is not a resolution of the battle, but a charged visual confirmation that the forces converging on Jack include both a fortress in the sky and the personal history represented by Lancelot.
