Noah

Book of Revelation

Noah is presented as a model of preparation before disaster, rather than as the subject of an extended narrative. His years of building an ark while the sun was shining become the book’s central analogy for readiness: act on a warning before the danger is obvious, and preparation may preserve a family when the crisis arrives.

Identity and Role

The book recalls Noah in its discussion of how Christians should prepare for the last days. It says he was warned that a great storm was coming and that, without an ark, he and his family would be in danger. The account emphasizes the long lead time: Noah prepared over many years, before the threat became visible to everyone around him.

Noah’s place in the book is therefore exemplary. The author draws on his story to connect biblical warning with practical readiness, making the ark an image of action taken in advance rather than a response begun after disaster has started.

Preparation and Reversal

The book stresses that Noah built while the sun was still shining. It imagines that people laughed at him or regarded him as foolish, though it presents that reaction as probable rather than certain. When rain began and the water rose, the judgment reversed: the preparation that had seemed unnecessary made him a hero to his family. The change in how his actions appear—mocked before the storm, vindicated as danger arrives—gives the example its force.

Application to the Last Days

The author applies Noah’s example to a forecast of economic collapse and the Great Tribulation. In this framework, Christians may have to endure part of the coming tribulation, so warnings should lead to preparation before a financial panic or other crisis makes it too late. Noah’s example supports the book’s appeal to prepare in advance for the sake of one’s family; the surrounding discussion also insists that practical provision is not the most important preparation, placing the soul first. The analogy thus joins material foresight to spiritual readiness without claiming that the coming crisis is identical to the flood.
