Chinese Lunar New Year
Box Set: Samsons Sterbliche Geliebte & Samson's Lovely Mortal (Deutsch·Englisch) (Scanguards Vampire) (German Edition)Chinese New Year serves as the immediate calendar marker for an anticipated weekend in San Francisco Chinatown. John Reardon tells Delilah Sheridan that the neighborhood will be busier than usual and points to Saturday night’s parade as a public celebration, giving the festival a concrete place and time in the scene.
Timing and Celebration
The celebration is presented as imminent: the conversation takes place ahead of the weekend, and the parade is expected on Saturday night. John describes a dragon and other attractions, details that make the occasion vivid without expanding beyond what he tells Delilah.
Personal Connection and Anticipation
For John Reardon, the parade is also a family outing; he says he normally attends with his children, who love it. Delilah Sheridan does not commit to going, replying that she will consider it. The exchange frames Chinese New Year both as a neighborhood event and as a possible experience Delilah has yet to decide whether to share.
