A Client Who Trusts No One
A controlled assignment
Minegishi hires Tangerine and Lemon to deliver the ransom money and recover his son. The locked case and the absence of its combination reflect his suspicion that even hired professionals may betray him.
He also places observers along the route. What looks like oversight becomes a source of pressure when the rescue does not proceed as planned.
The Hidden Cache

The Hidden Cache
A fragile hiding place
Nanao places the stolen suitcase in the hidden compartment behind a Shinkansen bin. The concealed shelf gives him a temporary advantage, but the Prince discovers it and removes the case.
The suitcase’s movements become increasingly difficult to track. Each participant believes that another person’s possession reveals a plan, even when the case is only one piece of a broader contest.

A False Delivery
Exposure at the platform
Tangerine improvises a disguise for Nanao and presents a different suitcase to Minegishi’s men. Nanao’s accidental combination unlock spills women’s underwear onto the platform, exposing the deception.
The failed handover convinces the men that the delivery is not trustworthy and prompts Minegishi to demand that Tangerine continue to Morioka. The suitcase crisis now carries the risk of a direct armed confrontation.
