A School Governed by Fear

A School Governed by Fear
Coercion becomes normal
The Prince trains classmates to punish one another and uses surveillance, threats, and shame to maintain authority. Takuya’s death and the manipulation of his father show how far the system reaches beyond ordinary school discipline.
The other students struggle to imagine resisting. Their fear has become an explanation for why they obey, allowing the Prince to make cruelty feel like the only available choice.
The Defibrillator Test

The Defibrillator Test
Kimura breaks the pattern
The Prince directs classmates to test a prototype defibrillator on Tomoyasu and his dog, Takeshi. Kimura intervenes, frees them, and beats back the students holding him.
The Prince’s classmates see that his control is not invulnerable. For the Prince, however, Kimura’s physical dominance becomes an injury to his pride and a reason to retaliate.
Power Reversals Aboard

Power Reversals Aboard
Control is contested
The Prince binds Kimura and uses Wataru as leverage, while Nanao and the fruit killers repeatedly alter who holds power. Each new encounter reveals that information and intimidation can fail when another person acts decisively.
The rising sequence of killings does not produce stable control. By the time the Kimura couple arrive, the Prince’s elaborate confidence has collided with people whose experience and loyalties he has not understood.
