Kimura Stops Prince's Electrocution Experiment on Wataru begins as a tense encounter at the escalators and is later transformed by Prince’s explanation into the story of an attack Kimura interrupted without knowing it. Kimura finds Wataru holding hands with a composed schoolboy and forcibly takes his son back; only during a later conversation aboard the train does Prince disclose that he meant to use Wataru to test a high-voltage device. The decisive act is Kimura’s intervention, while the revelation changes the meaning of the boy’s earlier, reassuring performance.
