Chu Fei Expands into Yuncheng and Plants a Spy

CEO's Beloved Honey Girl

Chu Fei Expands into Yuncheng and Plants a Spy is a coordinated move in which Chu Fei’s rising force enters Yuncheng, rapidly occupies part of its market, and penetrates Lin Yanche’s circle through an undercover agent. The action matters because it converts an economic challenge into a danger to life: Lu Xun warns that the spy could have caused Lin Yanche’s death first, followed by his own and Su Xiangcheng’s. Chu Fei’s expansion therefore becomes the pressure system behind a new confrontation among commercial powers, allied men, and the women whose relationships are repeatedly used as leverage.

Commercial Expansion and Strategic Pressure

Chu Fei is identified as the leader of the new forces in Yuncheng. His external forces move quickly through the city’s market, creating a problem that neither Lu Shengxun nor Lin Yanche can easily contain. Lin Yanche is already ill, limiting his ability to manage company affairs, while Chu Fei’s speed and strength make the threat especially difficult for Lu Xun to handle. The expansion is thus not presented as ordinary competition: it arrives as a destabilizing force capable of changing the balance among the established powers.

The commercial struggle also intersects with land and corporate negotiations. When a Western District parcel is due to be bid on, Su Xiangcheng’s company faces difficulty and Bian Jiang asks her to approach Lu Xun about possible assistance. Lu Xun later offers the East District land to Lin Yanche as the price for ending interference in his affairs with Su Qingrou. This transaction shows how territory, family interests, and emotional loyalties are exchanged within the same power structure. Against that background, Chu Fei’s market expansion raises the stakes beyond a single bid: control of Yuncheng itself is becoming contested.

The Spy and the Shift from Rivalry to Threat

Chu Fei’s most dangerous move is the planting of a spy beside Lin Yanche. Lu Xun tells Su Xiangcheng that the agent had been discovered in time; otherwise Lin Yanche would have died first, followed by Lu Xun and then Su Xiangcheng. The warning gives the infiltration a clear sequence of intended consequences and establishes that Chu Fei’s operation is aimed not merely at weakening a rival company but at eliminating the people who obstruct his advance.

This revelation changes the meaning of Lu Xun’s demand that Su Xiangcheng stay away from Chu Fei. She initially refuses to involve herself in the men’s careers, but Lu Xun insists that his order is not simply jealousy or possessiveness. His grip on her shoulders and his fierce warning place her inside the security perimeter created by Chu Fei’s expansion. The conflict therefore reaches her through both political danger and intimate control: remaining near Chu Fei is treated as a risk to the survival of Lu Xun, Lin Yanche, and herself.

Personal Relationships as Strategic Leverage

The expansion unfolds alongside a series of emotional and marital confrontations that make private attachment part of the conflict’s operating machinery. Su Qingrou’s proposed engagement to Jin Zhengnan appears designed to provoke Lin Yanche, whose weak point is being deliberately pressed. Lu Xun’s earlier land bargain similarly uses Su Qingrou’s relationship with Lin Yanche as the condition for a corporate settlement. In both cases, affection, marriage, and family obligation function as instruments through which powerful men attempt to redirect one another.

Su Xiangcheng is repeatedly placed at the intersection of these pressures. Her concern for Su Qingrou intensifies when she sees the marks left on her sister’s body and discovers a recent photograph of Lin Yanche embracing Song Yun’er. Later, Su Qingrou discusses holding a preliminary engagement ceremony with Jin Zhengnan for the benefit of both companies, while relying on the existence of a brother to confront the threat posed by Lin Yanche. These episodes do not belong solely to the business plot, but they show why Chu Fei’s arrival is so disruptive: Yuncheng’s power network is already structured through unstable family and romantic ties, and the new force can exploit those vulnerabilities.

Confrontation in Yan City

The threat eventually produces a direct expedition. Lu Xun and Lin Yanche fly to Yan City, where Chu Fei’s men are waiting at the airport as though their arrival time had been calculated in advance. Lu Xun has brought many people, so the party does not initially believe its safety is compromised; the appearance of Chu Fei’s men instead confirms the suspicions that had been gathering around the operation. The airport encounter is the outward form of the spy plot: hidden penetration gives way to open confrontation.

When the group later reaches the villa, Chu Fei arrives with Lu Xun, while Lin Yanche is the last to get out of the black truck. Lin Yanche is unshaven, unkempt, and extremely thin, making his illness visibly part of the cost of the conflict. His appearance also sharpens the contrast between the scale of the struggle and the vulnerability of the people caught inside it. Chu Fei’s expansion has drawn the established rivals into a temporary alignment, but it has not erased the damage already done by illness, betrayal, and coercive bargaining.

Narrative Function and Consequences

As an action, Chu Fei’s expansion supplies the external crisis that binds several otherwise separate plot lines together. Lu Xun’s concern for Su Xiangcheng, his confrontation with Lin Yanche, the East District land exchange, and the journey to Yan City all acquire greater urgency once Chu Fei is shown to possess both market reach and covert agents. The action also changes the scale of the story: conflicts previously negotiated through marriage, land, and family reputation now carry the possibility of assassination and organized retaliation.

The planted spy is especially important because it turns uncertainty into evidence. Lu Xun and Lin Yanche’s doubts are resolved when Chu Fei’s men appear at the airport, while Su Xiangcheng’s attempt to remain outside the men’s affairs becomes impossible. By the time Chu Fei, Lu Xun, and Lin Yanche stand together at the villa, the expansion has already rearranged the relationships around them. Chu Fei is no longer a distant market rival; he is the force that makes commercial competition, personal loyalty, bodily vulnerability, and survival part of one escalating confrontation.
