The Ambush at Cloud Gap

Crow Takes the Girl

The Missing Crow A hidden attacker Crow reaches Abra’s home while Dan and her father are away. He incapacitates Billy and abducts Abra, using threats against the older man to control her. A roadbound captivity Crow drives west with both captives. Abra is drugged and weakened, yet continues looking for a way to communicate and protect Billy.

The Call from the Bathroom

A Faint Connection Help through the drug haze At a roadside stop, Abra tries to reach Dan from a bathroom. Her message is weak, but it establishes a path between the captives and the rescuers. A mind changes places Dan follows the connection into Abra’s body. The exchange gives him access to her powers and gives her a chance to escape Crow’s control.

The Truck Turns

The Captor Reversed Dan takes control Inside Abra’s body, Dan uses her telekinetic strength to steer the truck off the road and force Crow to stop. Billy awakens and helps disrupt the kidnapper’s aim. The captives survive Crow dies in the struggle. Dan and Abra separate their minds, and Billy gets Abra safely to a motel while Dan rejoins the others.

A Safe Reunion

Mother and Daughter Exhaustion after escape Abra sleeps under Billy’s protection while Dan, Lucy, David, and John travel to meet her. The physical safety of the motel offers only temporary relief from the pursuing True Knot. Family reunited Lucy embraces Abra when the group arrives. The rescue confirms the importance of the allies who trusted the girl’s account even when its supernatural details seemed impossible.
