Bélgica
Gente que viene y ¡Bah!Bélgica becomes the proposed next step in Fin’s motocross career and the setting of a family decision: Irene plans to move there with her son so he can train with the world’s best team. The move matters not only as a sporting opportunity but as a way to address the frustrated ambition beneath Fin’s fear of death.
A destination for elite training
The plan arises from Fin’s desire to keep racing, compete, and become the best. Advancing to the next level means training with leading competitors outside Spain, in Bélgica. The move is therefore tied to a specific ambition rather than presented as a general wish to leave home.
The family decision
Because Fin is a minor, pursuing the opportunity abroad requires him to move with one of his parents. His father is not an option: he has never supported Fin’s passion for motocross. Irene had also been unavailable until then, having devoted herself fully to her work as mayor. The prospect changes when Irene agrees to go with Fin.
A move with personal stakes
After Teo explains how Fin’s fear of death had come to conceal his fear of losing the life he wanted, Irene tells the family that they will try their luck in Bélgica so Fin can train with the best team in the world. They intend to leave in a month, provided Fin’s father does not object. Irene has already begun studying Dutch and plans, at least initially, to rely on English while looking for work as a lawyer. The move is announced as a plan, not yet as a completed relocation.
