Buried Alive

Buried Alive Yuan is shot and buried after Slash’s warband murders his companions. His last conscious resolve binds survival to revenge. A Failed Delivery The attack also steals the Cube of Natho, turning a routine courier job into a conflict much larger than Yuan understands. The First Purpose At the grave’s edge, his desire to return is inseparable from the wish to make his killers answer for their violence.

A Bullet for a Heart

A Bullet for a Heart The Gun raises Yuan as a Gunsoul, giving him a second life sustained by the bullet lodged in his skull. Power and Cost The new core lets him cultivate where he had been a Scrap, but its growth begins replacing his human body with metal. Revenge Reignited Revolver’s gift of a firearm gives Yuan the means to pursue Slash, while warning him that the Gun’s favor is not freely given.

The First Victories

The First Victories Yuan begins treating cultivation as a way to cross the gulf that once made him helpless before stronger people. Trials in the Wastes He defeats Toshiro, survives the Rad-Hag, and learns how qi, firearms, and improvisation can combine into a fighting style of his own. A Wider Responsibility Rescuing Holster complicates the revenge quest: Yuan now has someone vulnerable depending on him, not merely a score to settle.

The Rival Becomes a Tyrant

The Rival Becomes a Tyrant Yuan discovers that Slash is tied to the Yinyang Khan, whose rule turns cruelty into a political system. The Public Challenge Slash taunts Yuan and offers a duel only if Yuan earns a place among the race’s finalists. Revenge Reframed Yuan’s private feud now intersects with a contest that could put the Cube of Natho and entire settlements in danger.

Beyond the Revenge Quest

Beyond the Revenge Quest Yuan defeats Slash and the Yinyang Khan, but the cost of their victories teaches him that vengeance alone cannot repair a ruined world. A Larger Duty He helps stop Manhattan and ultimately confronts the Gun to free Revolver and prevent its curse from continuing unchanged. A New Mission After becoming the Gunman, Yuan chooses to protect his community and oppose other violent powers rather than pursue strength for its own sake.
