Entering a Sick Land

Entering a Sick Land Yuan enters a Thunderlands region whose qi is contaminated by radiation and whose wildlife is hostile. A Realm Under Pressure The Rad-Hag’s corruption has turned the area into a den of mutants and spirits. A Risk Taken Yuan chooses the dangerous shortcut for training and speed, unaware that the territory’s guardian will eventually come for Holster.

The Train’s Awakening

The Train’s Awakening A spirit-train awakens and carries Yuan away from an attack by the Rad-Hag’s followers. Shelter Under Fire The train offers a moving refuge, while Holster’s sensitivity to feng shui helps her communicate with it. Danger Follows The Rad-Hag remains able to track Holster and approaches with an army and a corrupted train of her own.

The Child as a Target

The Child as a Target The Rad-Hag contacts the group and demands Holster, whose Human Pillar nature could feed the corrupted land. A Moral Test Yuan could surrender her to reduce the danger, but chooses to defend her instead. Holster’s Contribution Holster guides Yuan into the spirit-train’s qi flow, turning their shared knowledge into their first real defense against the larger force.

A Battle on the Roof

A Battle on the Roof Yuan fights the Rad-Hag on the moving spirit-train as she attacks with lightning and centidead appendages. Improvised Counterattack He redirects her lightning through his metal body and uses the train’s qi to injure her. A Dangerous Reversal Yuan’s body is badly damaged, but Holster’s intervention helps create the opening for his final strike.

Purification Instead of Conquest

Purification Instead of Conquest Holster uses her feng shui ability to separate the Rad-Hag’s uncorrupted energy from its corruption. A New Caretaker The old spirit dies, and its surviving power helps the train become a caretaker spirit in its own right. A Changed Territory The polluted region begins to lose its hostile force, while Yuan reaches the Second Coil and gains a new ally.
