Coach Finstock
Holding Out for a Hero ▸ Stiles Stilinski (2)Coach Finstock is the lacrosse coach at Beacon Hills High School, a figure whose authority is expressed through volume, impatience, comic exaggeration, and an almost instinctive demand that students occupy the places assigned to them. He is not presented as a supernatural investigator or as a central architect of the town’s hidden conflicts. Instead, his importance lies in the way ordinary school discipline continues to operate around extraordinary danger. He orders players onto the field, manages physical training, reacts to medical distress, and turns a championship game into a theatrical display of collective feeling. His presence gives the school scenes a recognizable institutional pressure while also supplying much of their abrasive humor.
