Råcksta metro station
Let the Right One InRåcksta metro station is a short-lived point of transit in Oskar Eriksson’s return to Blackeberg. The train’s departure from the station moves him closer to a confrontation with Jonny Forsberg and Tomas Ahlstedt, whom he sees waiting at the next stop.
The Stop and Departure
When the subway train stops at Råcksta, Oskar chews his lips, impatient and touched by panic as the doors seem to remain open too long. A click over the speaker makes him expect an announcement about a delay, but the instruction is simply for passengers to step away from the doors. They close, and the train pulls away.
Place in the Journey
Råcksta is not the site of the confrontation that follows. Aboard the departing train, Oskar hears that the next stop is Blackeberg; there he recognizes Jonny and Tomas on the platform and tries to run as the doors open. The contrast gives Råcksta a transitional role: the train leaves it without incident, carrying Oskar toward the encounter he fears.
