The Impossible Dagger

The Impossible Dagger A Mundane Anomaly Vivisari notices that Tobin’s dagger feels normal in a supernatural way. It is not enchanted, yet its ordinary quality is so absolute that her perception cannot interpret it. A Hidden Material The weapon is later revealed as a Voidglass dagger, resistant to spells, skills, and inspection. Its properties connect the Duke’s political intrigue to the dimensional breach. A Threat Unrecognized Because Vivisari does not understand the material, the dagger becomes one of the few objects capable of surprising her. The mystery creates a conflict that cannot be solved through overwhelming force alone.

The Spatial Exile

The Spatial Exile A Hostage Attempt The Red Tithe abandons a direct duel and teleports beside Saffra. His intention to seize her forces Vivisari to stop experimenting and act without restraint. A Dangerous Spell Vivisari uses Carve the Firmament, tearing open the spatial fabric around the assassin. The spell bypasses Voidglass but risks creating an uncontrolled wound in Meridian. A Costly Victory The Red Tithe disappears into the rift and is presumed dead. Vivisari gains crucial information about the material but is shaken by the possibility that she has killed him.
