Honorary Primogenitor's Blood

New Life as a Max Level Archmage

Honorary Primogenitor's Blood is the title and demonic status conferred on Vivisari Vexaria in recognition of her accomplishments during the Cataclysm Campaigns. It is not merely an honorific: the elevation places her within the highest visible ranks of demonic society, gives her the standing of a princess, and complicates every attempt to re-enter the world anonymously after her long absence.

Definition and Elevation

Vivisari Vexaria had previously belonged to the Second Blood, but Rafael explains that her achievements in the Cataclysm Campaigns earned her promotion to honorary Primogenitor's Blood. The wording marks the status as an exceptional distinction rather than an ordinary inheritance, yet its social force is unmistakable. The title makes her, at least by formal demonic classification, a demonic princess.

The elevation is also bound to the legacy of the Party of Heroes. A priest in Prismarche’s Temple recounts that the Party of Heroes defeated the seventh and final Cataclysm a hundred years earlier, at the cost of all its members except the Sorceress. During the Peace Day Festival, the city venerates that victory as the foundation of a century of freedom, displaying images of saints, heroes, and the Party of Heroes itself. Vivisari’s newly elevated blood status therefore intersects with a history in which heroic accomplishment has already become public legend and quasi-sacred memory.

Political and Social Consequences

The title creates an immediate contradiction between rank and concealment. Rafael arranges for Vivi to meet Archmage Aeris under the fabricated identity of Nysari Keresi, a visiting demonic noblewoman of the First Blood. That identity is intended to be inconspicuous compared with the name Vivienne, but even First Blood is difficult for the Thaumaturgical Institute to disregard. Rafael describes it as equivalent to, or effectively drawn from, a ducal family, and he secures permission from the Keresi family after years of cultivating the identity.

Honorary Primogenitor's Blood stands above that disguise. Vivi recognizes that taking on the public mantle of Vivisari will become a serious burden precisely because it carries the title of a demonic princess. Her problem is not simply whether people will recognize her face. The status itself demands explanation, invites scrutiny, and turns a personal return into an event with implications for demonic hierarchy and the human institutions that must receive her.

The contrast between Nysari Keresi and Vivisari Vexaria shows how carefully rank can be used as social theater. The former is a constructed noble identity designed to open a private meeting; the latter is Vivi’s real, publicly consequential identity, reinforced by an official elevation that Rafael cannot conceal indefinitely. Rafael’s advice to approach Aeris in disguise reflects this tension: identity is something to be performed, tested, and strategically revealed, not simply possessed.

Relation to Vivisari Vexaria's Return

The status becomes especially important when Vivi considers returning openly. She has already attempted smaller forms of concealment. Her demonic body bears long curling horns, red eyes, white hair, and distinctive blood-red tattoos descending from her eyes like tear stains. Because the tattoos would make her unusually recognizable, she uses Illusion to hide them while gathering information about the world. That private act of disguise anticipates the larger public problem created by Honorary Primogenitor's Blood: concealment can remove an identifying feature, but it cannot indefinitely erase the political meaning of who she is.

Her return is further complicated by the scale of the world’s historical memory. The Party of Heroes remains revered a century after its victory because the Cataclysms included horrors such as the Flesh-Weaver’s Rampant Genesis, the Reaper of the Lost Harvest’s Crimson Blight, and the Ashen Hierophant’s Great Conflagrations. Against that background, Vivisari’s name carries more than personal history. It belongs to a civilization that interprets extraordinary power through the language of heroes, monsters, divine intervention, and impending catastrophe.

Recognition and Mythic Distortion

Vivi’s power after her absence threatens to outgrow even the title’s meaning. During the Convoy crisis, she identifies Ghul-Feather, a gigantic two-headed crow at level twelve hundred, as a surviving creation probably associated with the Umbral Regent. Later, after an overwhelming display in which she tears a Cataclysm apart with casual force, observers are unlikely to interpret what they have witnessed as the work of the Sorceress or even of Vivisari Vexaria alone. They would assume that a god had appeared, or that the heavens had descended to intervene in a battle of otherworldly origin.

That reaction places Honorary Primogenitor's Blood in an ironic position. The title formally makes Vivi a demonic princess, and her legend makes her more than an ordinary noble; yet her actual power becomes so extreme that even the highest available social classification cannot contain it. Vivisari is already a legend, but the spectacle exceeds what the world expects from that legend. The honorary blood status names her elevation within demonic society, while public interpretations of her deeds threaten to move her beyond society’s categories altogether.

Narrative Significance

Honorary Primogenitor's Blood joins bodily otherness, political identity, and sacred reputation into one state. Vivi’s horns and demonic appearance mark her as visibly different, her Illusion conceals the most recognizable sign of that difference, and Rafael’s Nysari Keresi identity converts her rank into a controlled diplomatic instrument. At the same time, the history of the Party of Heroes and the Peace Day observances shows how the world turns exceptional individuals into objects of reverence long after their deeds.

The status consequently functions as both reward and constraint. It recognizes what Vivisari accomplished during the Cataclysm Campaigns, but it also makes anonymity less sustainable and raises the stakes of her reappearance. By the time her power is mistaken for divine intervention, the title’s deepest significance is clear: Honorary Primogenitor's Blood is the official name for an ascent that the surrounding world can only partially understand, and perhaps cannot contain.
