Kaelum's Thousand-Year Pyre Demonstration is the scene in which Vivisari Vexaria proves that the apparently impossible account-holder standing before a Prismarche bank teller is truly the legendary Sorceress. What begins as a demand for identity verification becomes an eruption of force: she casts spells at impossible speed, lifts the teller two thousand feet above the city, reveals the red tear-trails and purple robes associated with the Sorceress, and calls down a column of white fire that turns a quarter-mile of wilderness into glass. The demonstration settles the immediate dispute, but its larger effect is to make Vivisari's return appear less like the reappearance of a famous adventurer than the descent of a power beyond ordinary mortal categories.
