Arlington National Cemetery Attack

Point Blank

The Arlington National Cemetery Attack was an attempt by Moses Grace and Claudia to kill FBI agents, with Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock identified as targets. A later review of the attack made clear that Savich was the primary objective, while Connie Ashley survived with her arm in a sling.

Targets and Intent

At a CAU briefing, Sherlock assessed that Moses had wanted to kill Savich and regarded the deaths of other officers as secondary. Dane Carver added that Sherlock, too, had been a target at Arlington National Cemetery only a few hours later. Together, their accounts frame the attack as a deliberate threat to both agents, not an indiscriminate danger to officers alone.

Connie Ashley’s Survival

Connie Ashley described herself as the one who had got lucky. By the time of the briefing, she was wearing a sling. Her brief remark places her survival alongside the attack’s consequences for the agents, while the sling records that she had not emerged untouched.

Aftermath and Significance

The attack was revisited during a CAU conference-room discussion involving Savich, Sherlock, and four agents. The team connected it to Moses and Claudia’s wider effort to target law enforcement, distinguishing Savich as the principal target and Sherlock as another intended victim. That retrospective account establishes the attack’s stakes and clarifies why the agents treated the violence as a direct campaign against them.
