The Search Is Organized

The Search Is Organized
A delayed promise
After the rainy season, Sugríva gathers the Vánar chiefs and divides the search among directions. Ráma’s need to find Sítá becomes a kingdom-wide expedition rather than a private quest.
A strict deadline
The southern party, led by Angad and including Hanumán, receives detailed instructions and a time limit. The order gives the search urgency and makes failure carry consequences.
Sampati’s Revelation

Sampati’s Revelation
Despair at the sea
The searchers reach the coast without finding Sítá and consider giving up their lives. Their crisis changes when Sampáti hears them speak of his brother Jaṭáyus.
A direction at last
Sampáti tells them that Rávaṇ carried Sítá to Lanká across the sea. The knowledge resolves the search’s central uncertainty but leaves the party facing an immense physical barrier.
News Returns to Rama

News Returns to Rama
Proof of survival
Hanumán returns with Sítá’s message and jewel, confirming that she is alive in Rávaṇ’s custody. The token gives Ráma personal assurance as well as a location for the next stage.
From search to campaign
The report transforms dispersed searching into a collective military plan. Sugríva’s forces now have a destination, and Ráma’s rescue effort can move toward the sea and Lanká.
