Planetary Domain Realm

Rock Falls, Everyone Dies

The Planetary Domain Realm is the ninth level of the Cultivator path and the decisive threshold at which the rock’s power becomes planetary in scale. Reached after a philosophical breakthrough, it grants an energy level of 1,000,000 MW, a core heat of 5000K, and a domain with a diameter of 10,000.0 kilometers. The realm therefore represents more than a numerical advancement: it converts the rock’s long education in stillness, matter, scale, and destruction into an active sphere of influence capable of encompassing the world beneath it.

Place in the Cultivator Progression

The realm becomes available only after the rock has spent centuries transforming what appears to be inactivity into cultivation. During the five-hundred-year period in which it mostly remained still, the system judged the rock eligible for the Cultivator subclass. Its immobility, rather than preventing development, became the condition that made a new kind of development possible. Cultivation thus begins as a reinterpretation of patience: the rock does not train through ordinary movement or deliberate exercise, but through enduring time while remaining itself.

The Planetary Domain Realm is the ninth Cultivator level, following the rock’s accumulation of power through increasingly vast transformations. Its arrival is announced by a level-up and a philosophical breakthrough, linking advancement to understanding as well as energy. The system gives no readable progress figure toward the next realm, displaying the progress as unknown. That missing measurement distinguishes this stage from a simple, predictable ladder: the rock has entered a scale at which even its future development can no longer be comfortably quantified.

Conditions of Advancement

The breakthrough occurs after the rock has recognized that its continued journey must be powered by itself rather than by forces borrowed from others. It understands that dependence would allow those other forces to drag it along for their own purposes, and it rejects that possibility. Only then does the rock deliberately extend its senses outward and examine the surroundings it had inhabited without fully understanding.

This change in perception produces the insight that supports the realm. The blue world below, covered with green continents and clouds, is revealed as a very large rock. The glowing orange body in the distance is likewise understood as another rock, merely much larger or farther away. The rock concludes that everything is fundamentally stone, from planets to drifting grains of sand, with distinctions arising from scale and power. The Planetary Domain Realm therefore emerges from an ontological recognition: the rock is not an isolated anomaly in a world made for other beings, but part of a continuous material order.

Capabilities and Measurements

At the moment of attainment, the rock’s energy level rises to 1,000,000 MW. Its core heat reaches 5000K, and its domain expands to 10,000.0 kilometers. These figures establish the realm’s operational character. The rock is no longer measured only by the hardness of its body, the force of an attack, or the size of a single projectile; its defining power is the area over which its presence and abilities can extend.

The domain’s expansion has an immediate sensory consequence. As it grows outward, the rock once again hears the destruction occurring above: earth shatters and mountains are sundered. The realm does not isolate the rock from catastrophe. Instead, its greater reach allows it to perceive destruction across a larger portion of the world, making planetary power inseparable from planetary awareness. The same enlargement that increases the rock’s authority also exposes it to the consequences of events beyond any local battlefield.

Relation to Planetary Disaster

The realm is established against a background of escalating threats. Earlier, the system reported a dungeon invasion in progress with one invader whose average level was six, while the City below Mt Tartus was identified as a place from which heroes could emerge and as a settlement accustomed to dragons flying overhead. Later, the Galactic Defender alert warned that a Class 10 doomsday meteor would strike Planet Dirt in 230 years. These alerts place the rock’s growth within a widening defensive scale: danger progresses from a dungeon, to a city, to a planet.

That escalation culminates in an emergency broadcast announcing that the world will end in 60 minutes and warning of meteor showers. The mages of the world convene remotely and send the world’s mana to Supreme Grand Magus Oldivar, whose connection to a city marked by a jade statue gives him the opportunity to attempt a defense. The effort fails. A hero’s sword can cut through 1,000 meters of the rock, but 9,000 meters remain, and the rock repairs the damage with Qi. Even destroying it would not solve the danger, because the fragments would continue falling; sending it upward would merely produce an unending meteor shower, and the rock would eventually return larger than before.

Narrative Significance

The Planetary Domain Realm turns the book’s recurring scale joke into a structural revelation. The rock first treats the world as a setting containing dungeons, cities, heroes, mages, and enemies. By this stage, it understands that the setting itself is geological continuity: the planet, the distant glowing body, the rock, and the sand are variations of the same substance. The realm’s name consequently describes both a power level and a new way of seeing. To possess a planetary domain is to recognize the planet as kin.

Its consequences extend beyond combat. The rock later becomes a level 12 Planet, and the system begins the planetary fusion process. It accepts the prompt without examining the results, then grows and merges with what surrounds it until it becomes the largest of all. The Planetary Domain Realm is the conceptual and energetic bridge to that transformation. Once the rock has acquired planetary reach, its next ambition is not merely survival or victory but creation: it begins shaping a more beautiful planet, eventually sculpting gemstone trees whose emerald leaves ring in the wind like chimes. The realm thus stands between destruction and artistry, converting the ability to encompass a world into the possibility of remaking one.
