Siskiyou Forest

Siskiyou Forest is the remote Oregon setting of Jonah’s cabin, a place defined by its elevation and distance from the nearest town. In the novel’s closing sequence, that isolation frames a sharp contrast: while the end of the world is being reported on television, Jonah has just returned from fishing and is thinking about dinner and supplies for the cabin.
