Carter Brown

Carter Brown is recorded as one of the guests at an evening gathering in Chadds Ford. The diary places him among the company surrounding a museum visit and press conference, but does not describe a conversation with him or identify his role beyond his presence.

Appearance in the Diary

After going to the Brandywine Museum with Jamie Wyeth, the diarist was photographed and took part in a press conference. The party then returned to Jamie Wyeth and Phyllis Wyeth’s home, where cocktails were served. Carter Brown was there.

Social Context and Scope of the Record

The entry names Brown alongside Jane Holzer, who was there with Bob Denison. It offers no further detail about Brown’s connection to the hosts or other guests, and records no specific exchange involving him; his documented appearance is limited to this gathering.
