Solrød Nail-Gun Serial Murders

The Hanging Girl

The Solrød Nail-Gun Serial Murders involved the killing of two men with a nail gun in a car repair shop. The case gains a wider connection when investigators find that the younger victim was named among Rasmus Bruhn’s Danish relations—and was the nephew of another nail-gun murder victim, linking the killings across separate investigations.

The killings and their victims

Two men were murdered with a nail gun in a car repair shop in Sorø. The evidence identifies one victim as the younger of the two, but does not establish the circumstances of either man’s death beyond the weapon and location. Their murders form one part of a wider pattern of nail-gun killings under investigation.

A family link emerges

The connection surfaced during the technical presentation about Rasmus Bruhn’s body and the search of his home. His notebooks contained names, including relatives in Denmark; among them was the younger victim from the Sorø repair-shop murders. That victim was also the nephew of the man whom Carl Mørck, Anker Høyer, and Hardy Henningsen had found murdered on Amager, with a Paslode nail in his temple.

Investigative significance

The relationship between the younger victim and the man killed on Amager turned two apparently separate cases into part of a connected inquiry. The discovery offered investigators a new route for understanding the killings, though the evidence presented here does not identify who committed the repair-shop murders or explain their motive.
