Leadership in Crisis

A Network Without Its Leader Reorganization On Coruscant, Tuden Sal and the council abandon safe houses and rebuild Whiplash’s structure. They know Yimmon’s knowledge could expose the whole network if Vader breaks him. Uneasy Priorities Jax argues for a rescue, while other leaders fear spending the organization’s limited resources on one mission. Their disagreement exposes how difficult shared leadership becomes under pressure.

Haus and Sal Divide

A Warning Withheld Diverging Judgments Pol Haus learns that Imperial security has shifted toward the Western Sea and withholds the information from Sal, fearing Sal will attempt to kill Palpatine. Trust Breaks Sal reads the omission as betrayal and expels Haus from Whiplash. Haus believes he is protecting the network, but the rupture leaves Sal freer to pursue his own plan.

A Plot in Pieces

The Secret Operation A Distributed Plan Sal gathers explosives, altered maintenance bots, and operatives near the Emperor’s villa. He divides tasks among council members while keeping the full plan largely to himself. A Dangerous Conviction Sal believes a strike against Palpatine can destabilize the Empire and avenge the losses caused by its rule. His confidence blinds him to the risk that Imperial intelligence has already detected the operation.

The Villa Assault Fails

An Attack Met in Force The Trap Springs Whiplash operatives strike at the Emperor’s villa, but Imperial forces are ready. The operation becomes a slaughter rather than the decisive blow Sal imagined. The Network Shattered Most of the council and many skilled operatives die. Haus sees the aftermath and understands that Sal’s personal crusade has nearly destroyed Coruscant’s resistance.

A Remnant Survives

Rebuilding from the Ruins The Last Council Voices Haus and Sheel recover data from Whiplash’s hidden train and learn Sal had covertly directed Vader toward Jax’s route. The revelation explains the original ambush without erasing Sal’s later remorse. Continued Resistance Some lower-level operatives remain alive, and Haus and Sheel preserve the network’s records. Whiplash has lost its leadership, but its cause does not disappear with the failed attack.
