Sil’s Place

The Last Jedi

Sil’s Place is a location near an Imperial attack that intensified the danger facing Thi Xon Yimmon and the resistance network on Coruscant. The account does not place the attack inside the establishment; its significance is as the nearby landmark against which Jax Pavan measures how close the violence came to the Whiplash leader and the people around him.

Setting and Connection to Whiplash

In the weeks before Yimmon’s planned departure, Imperial forces had repeatedly targeted him. Jax explains that he and his team avoided two earlier threats because Pol Haus, their friend in the local police force, warned them in time. The attack near Sil’s Place belongs to this worsening campaign against Yimmon and Whiplash, whose members had become serious targets rather than mere obstacles to the Galactic Empire.

The Attack and Its Human Cost

Jax tells Yimmon that the attack near Sil’s Place came too close and emphasizes the loss of innocent life. Yimmon agrees, describing the bloodshed as unforgivable and condemning the use of battle droids to kill indiscriminately. The attackers apparently knew Whiplash members were in the area but lacked precise information about their position; photonic charges offered a chance to kill some of them without causing extreme damage to the infrastructure. The account therefore links the nearby attack not only to the danger posed to the resistance, but also to violence inflicted broadly beyond its intended targets.

Relocation and Narrative Significance

The attack helped make the decision to remove Yimmon from Coruscant urgent. Though reluctant to leave the center of his operations, he had agreed to relocate because the Emperor might concentrate on finding him elsewhere, giving the network on Coruscant some relief. Sil’s Place thus marks the proximity and civilian cost of the pressure driving that choice: the danger was no longer an abstract threat to Whiplash, but an attack close enough to strengthen the case for moving its leader.
