Berlin

Berlin is identified as a location, but the available passage does not place any event there or describe the city. Its role in the story cannot be determined from this evidence.

Evidence and Setting

The passage presents a conversation between Juan and Bando about the chief’s death, the sickness affecting the community, and Juan’s plan to leave. It does not name the place where they are speaking, so it does not connect this scene to Berlin.
