A Blurred Journey

A Blurred Journey Dislocation Elena watches Paegeia pass outside the car window and feels that her life is moving faster than she can understand. The approaching visit to The Wall promises another unfamiliar spectacle. Private Worry Lucian's messages interrupt her observations. His parents' opposition and his arranged future leave her unable to enjoy the summer without imagining its end.

The Wall's Threshold

The Wall's Threshold A New World At the transport center, Elena encounters enchanted tubes, flying Raiders, and a system that can carry passengers across Paegeia or beyond it. Her curiosity gradually overtakes her initial disorientation. Belonging and Exclusion Lucille explains the strict controls on crossing the boundary and the danger of passing as a dragon. Elena learns that her own arrival was exceptional, and that her father's failure to register them remains unexplained.

A Summer Divided

A Summer Divided Two Homes Elena finds comfort in the Johnson home but prepares to spend the rest of the summer with Sammy's family. She is excited to deepen that friendship and uneasy about living near Blake. Unsettled Future The coming change of household does not resolve the more serious uncertainty: Lucian may be compelled to marry Arianna. Elena's summer becomes a waiting period in which affection and dread coexist.
