Variant Heritage

Familiar Roots An allied race offers a new identity that remains connected to an older people such as Night Elves, Orcs, or Dwarves. Recognition and Difference The character feels familiar enough to belong in the world while distinct enough to represent a new possibility. Attachment Through Continuity Players can invest in novelty without abandoning the history that made the race meaningful.

Faction Choice

Belonging With Consequences Choosing an allied race also reinforces a factional identity associated with Horde or Alliance. Personal Affiliation The player’s aesthetic and mechanical choice becomes part of the wider political division. Emotional Weight The character is not simply unusual.
