Danziger's Drugs
Forever...Danziger's Drugs is one of two pharmacies owned by Katherine's father, a pharmacist. The family business connects his professional life to the household: during its busiest season, his daughters help serve customers at the stores.
Ownership and Locations
Katherine's father owns Danziger's Drugs in town and a second store, Danziger's Two, in Cranford. The account presents them as a pair of family businesses under his ownership, with his work as a pharmacist and proprietor central to the family's routine.
Seasonal Business and Family Work
The stores are especially busy during Christmas vacation, when customers crowd in to buy last-minute presents. Katherine helps by selling cosmetics, while Jamie sometimes wraps gifts. Their different tasks show how the family pitches in across the stores during the holiday rush.
Business slows in January. Toward the end of the month, Katherine's parents usually leave for a week-long vacation, typically in Mexico, while the grandparents come to stay with the girls. The seasonal contrast places the stores' intense holiday workload alongside a quieter period in which the household's arrangements change.
