Frederick's confession of love

Frederick confesses his love to Miranda, explaining that he has always admired her from afar and that he kidnapped her because he could not bear to see her with other men. He believes that his love is pure and that she will eventually understand. Miranda is horrified by his delusion and tries to explain that love cannot be forced, but he refuses to listen.
