Gavilar Kholin

Gavilar Kholin is the king whose reign stands at the threshold between Alethkar’s fractured present and the ancient danger returning to Roshar. He appears through maps, records, political memories, and the scene of his assassination as a ruler who sought expansion, coordination, and knowledge, yet whose final discoveries made him the target of Szeth-son-son-Vallano. His death is not merely the removal of a monarch: it leaves behind a warning, a strange black light, and unfinished instructions that redirect the lives of his brother Dalinar Kholin, his son Elhokar Kholin, and the kingdoms around them.
