The Rockefeller Foundation is mentioned in the biographical account of John Irving as one of three organizations that awarded him fellowships. The evidence does not specify when the fellowship was awarded or what support it provided.

Connection to John Irving

The account places the Rockefeller Foundation alongside the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation in its brief record of Irving’s fellowships. It supplies no further details about the award, so its significance here is limited to documenting the Foundation’s support of the novelist.
