The Lobster Quadrille

The Mock Turtle and the Gryphon describe the Lobster Quadrille, a dance where participants form lines, advance with lobsters as partners, throw them out to sea, and swim after them. They sing a song about a whiting and a snail, and the Mock Turtle sings 'Beautiful Soup.' Alice tries to recite 'Tis the voice of the Lobster' but gets it wrong. The Gryphon and Mock Turtle are amused, and Alice is relieved when they are interrupted by a cry of 'The trial's beginning!'
