Jud Crandall, the elderly neighbor who introduced Louis to the Micmac burying ground, is killed by the resurrected Gage as a consequence of his actions.

The Watch

Waiting for Louis A Sleepless Night Jud sits by his window, watching for Louis. He knows Louis plans to resurrect Gage. He tries to stay awake but falls asleep. The Intrusion Gage, resurrected, enters Jud's house. Jud wakes and tries to defend himself with a meat cleaver, but Church trips him. Murder Gage stabs Jud repeatedly with Louis's scalpel. Jud dies on the kitchen floor. His body is later burned in the fire Louis sets.
