Ender breaks Bernard's arm on shuttle

Bernard, a boy on the shuttle, begins to bully Ender, hitting him on the head. Ender, after enduring several blows, grabs Bernard's arm and pulls him, causing him to fly across the cabin and break his arm. The incident is witnessed by Graff, who uses it to further isolate Ender, telling the other boys that Ender is the best and they should not mess with him. Ender feels guilty and fears he is becoming like Peter, a violent person. The incident sets the tone for Ender's time at Battle School, where he is both feared and respected.
