Ender kills the Giant in the mind game

In the mind game, Ender is repeatedly faced with the Giant's Drink, a puzzle where he must choose between two drinks, one poison. After many deaths, Ender decides to cheat, kicking over the drinks and attacking the Giant. He climbs into the Giant's eye and kills him, which leads him to Fairyland. This act of violence, even in a game, disturbs Ender, who feels he is becoming a murderer. The teachers, however, see it as a breakthrough, showing Ender's ability to think outside the box and win at all costs.
