Establishment of the Aunts' System

Aunt Lydia, along with the other Founders, creates the rules, uniforms, and hierarchy of the Aunts. She establishes Ardua Hall as the center of female power within Gilead. She begins secretly collecting incriminating files on the Commanders, building a hidden arsenal of information. This dual role as enforcer and potential saboteur defines her character.
