Clotho and Lachesis Cut Jimmy V's Cord

Clotho and Lachesis demonstrate their function by cutting the life cord of Jimmy Vandermeer, a dying cancer patient. They do so with love and respect, showing Ralph and Lois that their work is merciful. This reinforces the distinction between their purposeful deaths and Atropos's random killings.
