Gage Creed's Death

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Gage Creed runs into the road while playing in the front yard. Despite Louis's desperate sprint to catch him, Gage is struck and killed by an Orinco truck. The accident is devastating for the entire family. Louis is consumed by guilt, Rachel is shattered, and Ellie is traumatized. The event sets the stage for Louis's ultimate decision to defy all warnings and attempt to resurrect his son using the power of the Micmac burying ground.
