Louis Kills the Resurrected Gage

Louis, having discovered the murders, confronts the demonic Gage in Jud's house. The creature attacks him with the scalpel, but Louis manages to overpower it. He injects Gage with multiple syringes of morphine, finally killing the monster. As it dies, Gage's face briefly returns to that of his loving son, crying out "Daddy!" before expiring. Louis is left utterly broken, his sanity shattered by the horror he has witnessed and the actions he has been forced to take.
