Victor Pascow's Death and Ghostly Warning

On his first real day as director of the university infirmary, Louis Creed is confronted with a horrific accident. A student, Victor Pascow, is brought in with a crushed skull after being hit by a car. Despite Louis's efforts, Pascow dies. In his final moments, Pascow speaks to Louis, calling him by name and uttering cryptic warnings about the Pet Sematary and the Micmac burying ground. The event deeply unsettles Louis, and that night, he has a vivid dream in which Pascow's ghost leads him through the woods to the Pet Sematary, warning him not to go beyond the deadfall. Louis wakes to find his feet dirty and covered in pine needles, confirming the dream was real.
