Peter's Knighthood

The First Step to Kingship The Ceremony Aslan knights Peter, giving him the title Fenris-Bane. He is now a knight. The Responsibility Peter is reminded to always clean his sword. Kingship requires discipline and humility. The Vision of Cair Paravel Aslan shows Peter the castle. He is to be High King. The role is presented as a service to the land.

The Coronation

The Reign of the Four The Crowning Aslan crowns them with ceremony. They are given sceptres and thrones. The Duties of Rule They make laws, fight giants, and maintain peace. They rule for the good of Narnia, not for themselves. The End of the Reign Even after they return to England, the title remains: "Once a king or queen in Narnia, always a king or queen." Kingship is a permanent identity with eternal responsibilities.
